Is it possible to visit the Taiping war graves on a one day trip from KL. I want to get photo of Grave stone of my Uncle killed in WW11. Thank You
Yes, it is possible. The Taiping War graves is located at Bukit Larut (also known as Maxwell Hill, during British era). It is located around 3 hours by car from KL. So, if you start the day early, you shouldn't have a problem to be there before noon. But why not stay there for the night, or continue your trip. TO go further up, Penang is just over an hour drive, or on your way back, make an overnight stop at Ipoh or Cameron Highland.

Agree, it is possible for a day trip to Taiping from KL. Make sure you use the North South PLUS highway (the old main road between Ipoh and Taiping will take much longer time). Also Taiping tend to rain in the late afternoon and so get to an early start. Taiping Lake, Taiping Zoo and Taiping Museum are worth visiting if you have extra time. It is also possible to do it using express bus.
