change location

diving with manta rays?

We're going to tahiti soon and would love to see some manta rays & was wondering if anyone can recomend any dive (or snorkel?)sites that would be the best (& what our chances of seeing one is) - have also heard that they have been scared off from the sites inside the lagoon on bora bora can anyone confirm or deny this!

Can't comment on Manta's but the Sting Rays were quite friendly. On a motu just off of Moorea we had them sitting in our lap in the shallows. They were more friendly than the ones at Sting Ray City in the Caymens.
