Transportation from PPT airport to my hotel on Tahiti Island

I found a company on Moorea that does tranfers from the dock to Cooks Bay for 1000 XPF/person each way based on two people. Is there such a thing on Tahiti? I don't want to pay the horrible taxi fair and I don't know how well Le Truk will work with my dive gear luggage? I look forward to your answers :o)

If, by "the dock" you're talking about :Papetoai where the tenders from cruise ships typically land, it's about 12KM to Cooks Bay. The last time I was there I just rented a car but if you'll be diving are you going with a group? They typically have their own transport.
I found numerous "van type taxis" at the port in Papeete but never used them; Le Truck was convenient for me but might be a bit cumbersome if you travel with the amount of gear my daughter does so I'd vote for a taxi.
