I will be arriving Tacloban on Saturday at 9am. My friend has asked me to meet her at Iskina ng Baybay. Can anyone pls help to advise how long it would take me to get there from the airport? I was told to take a jeepney to San Jose and ask the driver to bring me down at Iskina ng Baybay. Is this at all possible? Lastly, I will be going back to Manila by bus. What do i ride from the Iskina ng Baybay to bring me to the Tacloban Bus Terminal for a trip back to Manila? Pls help me... thanks!
Baybay is a town in Leyte and "iskina" is a Visayan word which, I think, is used to describe a place or location (an office mate who knows a few Visayan words said, it means "corner"). Maybe, it's a popular junction that drivers are familiar with it. Going back, most likely you'll just do a reverse ;) Or ask your friend on how to get back to Tacloban.

from the Tacloban airport, you take a jeep going to the van-van terminal where you can take a van going to Maasin or any van which passes the town of Baybay. It takes about 2 to 3 hours to reach Baybay. From the terminal in Baybay, maybe you can ask around or if it is nearby you can take a pot-pot (the pedal powered tricycle).
