Hello, to avoid confusion in Budapest I had thought to pass the 'last' s years in a provincial town like Szeged. I have seen is that the university, so lots of young people. It's worth coming here? The locals speak English? Thanks
I've had two great New Year's Eves in Budapest and I am looking forward to a third. I wouldn't go out to the countryside, though. Too quiet and few people speak English. Budapest has tons of things to do. The first year I hung out with the locals in noisy, packed, crazy Godor listening to gypsy, ska and rock music. The next year we booked a table at a quiet place popular with English speaking expats. Pretty much anything you want, Budapest has it. You might find what you want in Szeged, but the chances are much smaller, especially if you don't speak English. Maybe I can help you if you tell me what exactly do you want to do with your New Year's Eve?
