Does anyone know the cheapest way to get to Syr, NY.? Maybe a bus alternative to Greyhound.

Jet Blue flies from JFK to SYR and has competitively priced tickets. There's an Amtrak station in SYR, but I'm not sure it it is serviced from NYC (check the Amtrak website). Then there are always Syracuse University students heading from NYC/Long Island up to school, and you might contact student services at the University to put the word out that you're willing to share gas and tolls.

i lived in N.Y. only a few months but to me i believe the cheapest way to travel long distances is to go by train...goodluck!
