Hi again, when I get off the train from the airport I would like to head straight to Killara, I have printed off what platform I need but don,t know my way around the station itself. Do I need to go up to the newsagent to buy the day pass or can I get the Seniors day pass from a machine? Any help gratefully received.
I bought my day pass at the Airport Train ticket office when I purchased the Airport to Central railway ticket. They sell both tickets. I did not use the machines. At the domestic airport you will see signs to the airport train, you have to go down several flights of stairs ( there may be a lift). I thought I was going the wrong way, but asked someone and they said follow me.

OK thanks, I,ll do the same and get all the tickets at the airport.

Again with the cityrail website. It's saved as one of my favourites. 131500.com.au/plan-your-trip... Does the link work? Looks like you can change at Wynyard Stn (from platform 5 to platform 4). Unsure if it's a straight change from one side of the platform to another. It's a smaller station than Central, so less walking.

Thanks for the links, yes Wynyard seems a better idea. I need to change there but even if I miss the train 2 mins later there is another one in 10 mins.

Ah yeah, I just had a quick look. The train coming from the airport gets to Townhall via the city loop (Central - Museum - St James - Circular Quay - Wynyard) so I'm 99% certain you just have to cross to the other side of the platform for the North Shore train to Killara. Depending on your luggage size & crowds, try to sit upstairs (double decker trains) for a great view of Sydney Harbour as you pass over the bridge.
