My 3 kids & I will be arriving in Sydney T1 international airport on 26 May 2012 at 09:45hrs (9:45am). I have also booked a domestic flight from Sydney T2 domestic airport to Gold Coast on the same day departing at 16:15hr (4:15pm). Can someone advise us on where to go or what to do in between our arrival period in Sydney T1 airport to our checking in time in Sydney T2 airport minus the estimated hours to clear the airport procedures/customs + transport from terminals? We will only check in a 20kg luggage.
Well- by the time that you have cleared immigration and collected your luggage- it will be close to 11am. Then it takes another 30-40mins to get into the city. You will have only time for a very quick lunch before heading back to T2. Go to the Queen Victoria Building (an iconic Sydney building dating back more than a century) have a quick walk around (fantastic shops and restuarants) have some lunch. A taxi will be quickest way to get into the city and will cost +- A$35-40. The QVB is in the centre of the city, next to Town Hall.
