Hi. I'm going on a 8 day trip to Scandinavia in August. I'm flying from London to Malmo and plan to go to Copenhagen and Stockholm from there. Since I m going to be in Malmo, I'm wondering if it's worth to stay there for a day or two (and spend less time in Copenhagen and Stockholm, offcourse) or should I immediately go to Copenhagen? Thanks for your help. Regards, Ziga
We did a day trip to malmo from Copenhagen. It was very quaint, not sure if it's worth more than one day, taking account you'd need to pack up and change hotels.

I've spent a few days every once in a while in Copenhagen; I still haven't seen anywhere near all of the sites. I guess that I prefer to take my time with them and I enjoy relaxing with a bear or glass of wine whilst people watching etc... I've spent less time in Stockholm but I shall return there for a longer stay in the future. Look at people's travel pages to read about these places. You can find mine by clicking on the peacock photo and following the links to my pages about Scandinavia.

Malmø is ok for a day or two if you ask me. If you are flying out of Malmø airport then you might wanna spend the last night in Malmø to make it easier to get to the airport which is not that well served by public transport.

I agree that Malmo has something to see, so it's worth considering for a day. Another town that you could visit while in Malmo and it isn't far: Lund. They have nice cafe culture and town is small, human friendly size with nice streets and squares. You could, of course spend half day malmo + half day Lund or more if you like and go to CPH anytime you like (except for few hrs during night) by train. V.

I was just in Malmo for the first time and it's a nice city but not sure about more than a day either. What I found out though is that with a ticket on the Oresundstag train you can travel within 3 hours before and 3 hours after your departure time so one option is to go straight to Copenhagen then on your way to Stockholm hop off in Malmo, spend some hours then continue on.
