Holiday in Sweden

Hello vt-family There is a chance that I am going to Sweden the first week of November. Next to Stockholm (maybe 2 days) I would like to spend some days in a quiet place not so far away from Stockholm (nice hotel, guest house, apparement). My questions: Are there any reccommdation of a location? What kind of activites are possible in this season (because of the low temperature)? What would you do, if you had a week off in Sweden the beginning of November? Thank you in advance for your help.
