We are a family of four - 2 kids aged 17 and 14 and are looking at touring Tassie in December. We were thinking of hiring a motorhome but are now considering hiring a car and booking accommodation. My question is: is it better to stay in a central location or locations and do day trips or are we better to drive to the next town and stay? Any itinerary suggestions would also be appreciated.
