As a US citizen do I need a visa to enter Suriname from Guyana (by land) or vis versa?
Yea, sorry! I once got a year visa from Georgetown, Guyana. I found out that if you get it through Miami, they do visas as long as five years. DC only gave me a year tops. But I did not ask for more at the time either. You have to get a visa to enter. Make sure it's a "multiple" visa. But once your in you can get a permanent residency pretty easy and it's good for two years. Otherwise you have to leave the border for a day and come back every six months you spend in Suriname. I visited both French Guiana on one occassion and Guyana on the other. If you have a spouse that's originally from there or if your a student or on business it's suppost to be easier I think as with most countries.
