What is the price for kids and adults to go fossicking in the sapphire gemfield in the central highlands in Queensland?
Hi, We are staying at the whitsunday apartments and they dont appear to have BBQ facilities. Are there any public BBQs eg in a park that we could use?
Whitsunday apartments are self contained and we are ordering our groceries through coles on line.
I need to decide on the best transport from a motel in main beach to the gold coast airport. My husband is not in the best of health so is a taxi the best and quickest option when being seated in a car or a transport company ? If a taxi is the better option I was wondering what the "approximate'' charge is.
Hi all. Ive posted before regarding a place to stay and i came across this apartment. I kinda like it already, but before i actually book it, is this place convenient enough? Is public transport access close enough? Cafe? All within walking distance maybe? I am travelling with my mom, hence I would prefer everything within walking distance. I am aware that to visit 'things-do-to' places, we may need to travel by bus, but what i wanted to know is if we were to take the morning off or the day off from travelling by transport, going down to this street, will there be a handful to see and do? Or should I make a booking at "Breakfree Peninsula Apartment"? Thank you all!
Hello, i am going to gold coast aus on the coming june, and i am having some problems with it, hope u guy can help me to solve the problem.
1. we have 4 adults and 2 kids, so which mode of transportation is the cheapest way of travel? by bus or renting a car?
2. What are the places that must visit at gold coast australia besides then the themeparks?
3. if we want to travel to brisbane, should we stay over there or stay at gold coast itself will do?
I will be visiting Brisbane Aust for a workshop. I would want to know where the cheapest place is to shop. I will be at the Royal Albert Hotel.

Hello, Me and the soon to be wife will be taking a 15 day holiday road tripping from the Gold Coast to Cairns to see the Great Barrier Reef in January of 2014. We're going up the coast in a caravan/camper and we're looking for places to eat, sleep, drink and have fun.
We both love to hike, surf, drink, and lay on the beach to let the sun burn off our hangovers.
Also, what places could we stay at along the way? We been to caravan parks that are loaded with kids and crotchety couples, we're looking for a more laid back atmosphere, would love to meet like minded people along the way.

My wife and I are flying from the US in January for a road trip from the Gold Coast to Cairns, we're going to be there for 16 days an would love to know what places we should hit up along the long winding road to the great barrier reef.
We do road trips here in the states all the time, last year we went from coast to coast via Route 50, saw long stretches of nothing but was worth the experience.
As we are flying into Brisbane we'd like to know what places, beaches, restaurants, and sights to see along the way.
What beaches should we hit up? what places should we avoid? Where are places to meet people and share an experience?

My wife and I are coming from the United States to Australia in February, 2013. We will spend much of that trip at Surfers Paradise. Where are the best shopping malls in and around Surfers Paradise? We are especially interested in souvenirs, surf sandals, swimsuits (mens and womens) and also surf shops.
I'm flying into the gold coast with my girlfriend for 7 nights. the though/possibility of cockroahes is freaking my girlfriend out. Right now we're pencilled in for the 'foreshore apartments' which is in mermaid beach. great price, decent enough location (we'll have a car) but after reading 1 newly posted horror review, I'm having second thoughts. Can anyone suggest somewhere either in surfers or surrounding that is really clean! has to be under200, foreshore is actually100 per night on a 7night deal but I know we'll need to spend more if we go elsewhere.
Hi all, We are going to Australia in July 09 for about a week and have picked Surfers Paradise/Gold Coast/Brisbane to see. Does anyone recommend staying in one of these places more than the other? We want to see them all but not sure which is the best. We are not wild party goers etc but enjoy good food and having a few beers/wine, but do want to see the where the wild party goers go in Surfers as well ;o) We also love seeing live bands. Top on our list while there would be: 1. To hug a koala/see wildlife - any wildlife sanctuaries anyone recommends? 2. Go to Sea World and Movie World. 3. See Surfers Paradise. 4. See Brisbane and all its places of interest. 5. Stay somewhere in the middle of all of this so its easy to get around to all of the above and get to and from Brisbane Airport without too much hassle ;o) This site is such a cool site and I can't be grateful enough for all the responses I've had in the past in helping planning a . Hi all My girlfriend and i are visiting surfers from Adelaide in January. I was just wondering what are some of the things I must see and or do while on the Gold Coast. Apart from the obvious dream world and the rest of the parks what else is in or near the Gold Coast that I must see. Also we are planning to go out and have some drinks a few times while we are there. What are some of the good pubs and clubs that we should visit. I am thinking about spending 2days 3nights in mid June 2008 in the Surfers Paradise area. I am retired but am now having second thoughts about staying due to the teenagers, families with young children and the "party mood" that seems to surround the area. Are there any places in the area that would be more for older, or retired adults rather than younger? The thought of the ocean, and swimming in the ocean is the reason I would be going to the area.
Hi, my husband, 2 teenagers and I are travelling to Brisbane for 6 days, staying in Surfers Paradise (Crowne Plaza). We were thinking of hiring a car from the aiport to see the sights of the area. Is hiring from the airport the best way or is their a cheaper alternative or more choice in Surfers. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for me. I am 22 years old and three of my friends and I are planning to travel/live in surfers paradise from Sept 07-Feb 08. We really have no clue how to get started as far as living accomodations go. Does anyone know of some CHEAP apartments/houses that are available for that time frame?
