Hello everyone, I'll be in Surat on July 22nd, too see the eclipse. I know it will occur in the morning. Does anyone know what would be the best place to look at it from? Are there any popular heights in Surat? Or surrounding? How would I get to them at those hours? Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hello there, If you are crazy about seeing solar eclipse (which is falling on 22nd July in 2009), please read on... It may seem a little off-beat for your query, but i wanted to share this with you. If you are planning to visit Surat especially for the eclipse, why not try going to Kurukshetra. The Brahma Sarovar (the Holy Lake) there sees more than 5 lakh people bathing on that auspicious day and moment. There is religious reasons attached to that place during Eclipse(s). Even if you are not a religious or a spiritual person, the view from there is awesome and seeing more than 5 lakh devotees is a great sight itself. Thanks and Regards... Om...
