Hi :)
The best way is to go by bus. From Nessebar to Burgas is about half an hour and there are buses and minibuses all the time.
Then from Burgas to Nessebar, check this page: http://www.bgrazpisanie.com/en
There are buses at 12.00; 12.30; 14.00; 23.00 and 0.00 from Burgas South Bus Station. The journey takes about 7 hours and the ticket cost a little more than 30 EUR

Szia, I don't know how many people are in your group, but renting a car and stopping over in Edirne on the way to Istanbul could be an option too. However, it could be more costly than the bus. I strongly suggest you spend at least a half day either on the way to Istanbul or the way back to Burgas. You can check my Istanbul and Edirne pages for useful tips. If you would like to meet with some Hungarians just like my wife, let me know the time of your arrival so that we can organize a gathering.

I doubt that it is allowed to cross the border BG-TR with a rented car.

The cheapest way is by bus - cost around 30-35 euros per person. Best way and quickest is by private transfer - 180-200 euros , recommended companies : bourgas-airport-transfers.co... , www.bgholidayrentals.com/transfers.aspx , bulgaria-airport-transfers.c...
Average travel time by bus : 6 - 7 hours , by car 5 hours.
