Hi All Has anyone stopped in this hotel? I can't afford to stay there but would like to see it from inside and maybe have a drink here Is it possible? Thanks in advance Bal
Hi I stayed there a few years ago/ but its really just an ostentatious resort ... Its possible to eat or have a drink there, even if you are not staying there.

Yes, as Lynne says, it's possible. If you're going to visit there, then don't just do so for the hotel. Rather spend at least part of the day in the Valley of the Waves, which has a wave machine and is every bit as vulgar and over the top (and fun!) as the Lost Palace. I have softened my stance on Sin - sorry, Sun - City over the years. I still think that it's delusional and that Liberace must have been one of the contributing designers, but if you accept that, then it's done extremely well, and is a fun place to spend some time. Just be sure not to miss the adjacent Pilanesberg game reserve, which is The Real Thing and should restore your sense of sanity and taste! Regards Cathy

We stayed in one of the cheaper Sun City hotels and were able to visit the Palace of the Lost City twice during our stay. We spent a day at their wave pool, which has a nice sand beach. We also went to tea in the atrium restaurant, which was beautiful. Both activities cost us a small fraction of the daily cost of a room at the hotel, yet gave us the chance to wander the grounds and do some sightseeing.
