Central location possible? 4. Climate in Nov 5. Any other place around sun city wn to visit?"
There is a bus from Cape town to JHB but that is a long ride. You can look at the computicket website www.computicket.com under bus ticket ( left). There is a private company going from JHB to Sun City. Can't remember the website but you can google it. Never used the bus myself but they are comfortable. You can find the prices on the website as well. It's not really that much cheaper than the low cost airlines. We used the train once as a treat for the kids and it was great but it was about 10 years ago so I have no idea if that has changed.

Hi We were in Sun City for 4 days late May this year, we travelled from Johannesburg airport by car with driver provided, approx 2.5 hours drive through Pretoria and onto Sun City. Stayed at the Cabanas 4 nights with breakfast included and return chaffered car Australian1100. Sun City is a nice place, better still if you play golf, some very good hotels, the Cabanas are on the resort, the lowest priced hotel accommodation. We went on a late afternoon safari and were amazed at how many animals we saw. For accommodation check out Tripadvisor www.tripadvisor.com Good Luck, Mike

A very nice place to visit close to Sun City is the Pilansberg Game Reserve. It also has acco and is a great game reserve. Pierre

You may not like Sun City. That depends what you like to see. It is very fake and touristy. There is a big casino if you like gambling. I don't believe it is representative of South Africa or South Africans at all. I was there for a few hours and spent a few days at nearby Pilanesberg which I loved. It all depends on what you are after.
