National Express buses have special offer at the moment, traveling from £1.
There are 2 buses on Tuesday one at 3.00am in Birmingam at 3.45am price £7.50
and the other is at 15.00pm arriving at 16.00pm price £7.60, all are one way.
Here is the National Express link:

    Hope this helps

You most certainly do not want (or need ) to take a taxi. It would be pretty expensive....the two places are 30+ miles apart.

The National Express fare is a particularly good offer...but you do need to book online in advance, as coaches can and do get full-up.

If you are in Birmingham and want to take the train, you can buy cheaper advance tickets from the station up to 6pm the night before you travel (if they are offered for the departure time you want).
