We will be visiting the Bodensee in May and would like to visit Stein am Rhein. We had considered traveling by boat, but may not have enough time to make the round trip that way. What is the approximate fare by train from Konstanz? Thank you. Carol
See www.sbb.ch (English version: www.rail.ch) for schedules and fares. Finding fares is a bit difficult, granted. Trains run about twice an hour, take about 40 minutes. You need to change in Kreuzlingen, only 3 minutes after leaving Konstanz by train. One way single fare is 9 Swiss Francs (7 Euro), day ticket is 18 Swiss Francs (14 Euro).
