Hi There, I seeking opinions from VT members regarding a itinerary Ive put together for a 6day trip to Tassie mid November 2012. You may notice an absence of the East Coast - thats because Ive already done that side on a previous trip. Not knowing where i want to/need to spend my lion share of time, im interested in hearing people's opinions on how ive cut up my time. obivously this is a self drive holiday with a campervan too!

Having a motorhome I can relate to what you are trying to do. If I could be so bold as to make a suggestion I'd scrap that itinerary and have a total rethink. If you only have six days I'd abandon going all the way around. It's also hard to know what you did on your previous trip. Personally I think you're spending too much time travelling and passing by too many attractions, some that you may not be aware of. Might I boldly suggest you have a look at my Tassie pages and have a rethink. Stuff like Rocky Cape, Allendale Gardens, Narawntapu will all be missed but, I don't know what you're interested in. While you've done excellent research on driving times it seems to me like you're just trying to tick boxes and not soak up the attractions. If you're not planning to spend an absolute bare minimum 4 hours at Cradle Mountain then you'll miss an awful lot. Hope this helps but, whatever you decide, have a nice time. Cheers, Ian

I know you posted this some time ago and it's already november but just wanted to say a couple of things. Don't underestimate the driving times especially in a campervan. The roads are winding and narrow on a lot of your planned route. Also the day you have planned in Strahan won't give you much time there's specially if you want to do the cruise there. I'd agree with Ian don't try to do too much in 6 days. Maybe this is too late! Have a good trip!
