We want to visit Kangaroo island this december. We are going to drive from Melbourne. We are not sure about how many days shall we spent in the island considering that we are driving from Melbourne just to do the Great Ocean Road and to visit Kangaroo Island. Hope you can help.

My 21 year old daughter and I will be visiting Adelaide/KI in April. We were thinking about spending two days on the island. I'd rather not rent a car/drive there. I've read that you can join tours for a reduced price. I've also heard that public transportation is limited on KI and the tours don't pick up at every B&B/hotel, etc. We are interested in wildlife, sandboarding, water activities, and the rocks. Where would be the best place for us to stay in order to meet up with a tour?

i am off to adelaide for a week in early march and i thought i might catch the overlander train from melbourne i was trying to check where the station is on the net and it seems as if the train stops out at keswick about 3 k from the city how do you get into the centre of the city from there? i want to stay right in the centre thanks for any help

Sirs/Madam, Can you tell me what chemical/s are responsibile for the pink colour in Lochiel salt? Is the pink part of the salt dangerous to eat? I notice if you scrape up a handful by water's edge the pink is mostly on the surface of the crust. Thanks, Vicbanks

Hi all, My sister and i will be in adelaide on sunday and monday (2nd and 3rd October 2011) and are a bit witchy/gothy inclined. I stumbled across Viator Tours. I know they don't actually conduct the tour themselves, which always makes me nervous. I'm not sure who their tour carry is, but I'm interested in the Kangaroo Island 2-Day Wilderness Safari Adventure Tour from Adelaide. Where is best place to stay after Coober Pedy - I thought maybe Quorn and then where after that. Have 3 days before heading to Halls Gap for over night then straight back to Geelong. Would like to see wineries but not expensive ones, and like to stay in B&B or local hotels - nothing too expensive. Will have a car and showing a friend from Colorado around.

Hello there! I was wondering if anyone knows about or has stayed in the Adelaide Travellers Inn hostel on 220 Hutt Street? This is a Nomads hostel. I have a free night accommodation there because I booked a Great Ocean Road Tour through Nomads World. If anyone knows anything, good or bad about this hostel, would love to know! Is this a safe location for a 25 year old woman at night? Any other hostel recommendations? I would like to stay in a hostel with all girls dorms. Thanks so much for any help! Rebecca

Hi guys, My girlfriend is living in Adelaide for the year- and I'll be coming out to visit in December. We're looking to hire a car/van whilst we're there so we can head out to York Peninsula...Only problem is that she's under 21!! She's been driving for over 3 years though and has a full English driver's license... The only possibility we've found so far is a couple of camper van sites that don't look too reputable...So I'm opening up the floor for some suggestions! Cheers, Ben x
