Dear all, my friends and I are planning a 9-day trip to Kerala in Oct. Can anyone advise me if my itinerary look possible/fine? 1 Oct arrive at Kochi airport at night 2 Oct explore kochi 3 Oct heading to munnar 4 Oct take houseboat at kumarakom or Alappuzha (any direct transportation from munnar to these two places?) 5 Oct houseboat trip 6 Oct arrive Kollam 7 Oct Varkala or Kovalam 8 Oct Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) (take night flight) Thanks for the big help!!!! Hi! Your planning is good, if you book private taxi for your trip then you can reach all destinations. One night houseboat stay is enough, you can take houseboat only from Kumarakom to Alleppuzha round. Dear Tina, Seems to be very possible trip. Point number 4. There are direct buses from Munnar to Kumarakam as well as Kottayam. Kumarakom is in Kottayam District and not very from from Kumarakom. We pass through Wagamon (another beautiful place ) in this route. For reaching Alapuzha you have to take the bus Munnar-kochi-Alapuzha. Point no 6. See kollam 7.You see varkala then proceed to Kovalam which is 55 km apprx from varkkala. regs usha 1 Oct arrive at Kochi airport at night 2 Oct explore kochi 3 Oct heading to munnar 4 Oct take houseboat at kumarakom or Alappuzha (any direct transportation from munnar to these two places?) 5 Oct houseboat trip 6 Oct arrive Kollam 7 Oct Varkala or Kovalam 8 Oct Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) (take night flight) Thanks for the big help!!!!
