We were in Hampi a month ago, and we bought tabla form one man who has a shop there. He prommiesed us to send the tabla to Poland, but he didn't do so. We called him and he said that he needs more money, because the tabla is very heavy and he needs to pay more for the delivery. We would like to finish the transaction, but he doesn't speak english very well and I heve spent a lot of money on the calls to India ..and still ...we don't have his datas to send him money ... We need someone who could go to him and talk, sb to send the money..we need sb to help us. Please ...Magda and Pawel

Hi All, I am planning to visit Karnataka at the end of December. I will be starting from Pune with my own car along with my family. I plan to cover Bijapur, Badami/Aihole, Hampi, Chitradurg, Mysore, Nagarhole NP, Madikeri, Hassan, Udupi, Murudeshwar, Karwar, Gokarn, Belgaum. Also, is it worth visiting Jog falls in this season? Please suggest the route and number of days I should spend at these places. Also any other suggestions about Hotels, places would be welcome. Thanks!!

Hi Forum, We are a young couple coming to Bangalore on 22-dec-2012 early in the morning at around 6.30 AM and have return train at 8.50 PM on 26-dec-2012 from Bangalore to Hyderabad. We are basically nature lovers would like to spend our time in lush green places. We don't like to travel too much during our trip. We love calm, pleasant places with lots of greenery, flowers, birds etc. Could you please suggest us best tour plan including sites to visit, where to stay, where to eat etc. We can spend around Rs. 2000 to 2500/- per night for accommodation. I'm an Indian female travelling on business to Bangalore from the USA. I'm staying at a 5 star hotel in the IT sector hub for approximately 3 weeks. I will be solo for the most part at the hotel. I've been told that drinking alone at the hotel could be frowned upon especially since I'm female. I typically drink a glass of wine or two with my dinner. Will it attract unwanted attention? I didn't think it would because my thought is that at a 5 star hotel in the business IT sector, most people would be open-minded. Please let me know if this is frowned upon as I definitely don't want to have any issues. Thanks in advance.

hi members i have read with interest the wealth of information posted by many members. i have a specific question as to how much the regular taxi ( not radio taxi) would cost from the downtown area, say the majestic bus stand to the new airport.do they generally go by the meter or we have to mutually decide on the fare prior to commencing the journey. question number two is about the distance between majestic bus stand and the bangalore railway station (city junction). finally which would be suitble hotel,guesthouse or even serviced apartment close to the ity railway station. regards musaphir

The Air Frace flight arrives in Bangalore around 11:45 PM and I expect to be out of the airport middle of the night sometime. So what is the best way to go to Mysore from the airport in the night. Is there any bus service from Airport to Mysore during the night? What is a reasonable cost for transporation from Bangalore Airport to Mysore? This is just for one person carrying two baggages.
