Please share your advice on car rental - st. John or St. Thomas and take car ferry?
I have just heard that crime on st john's has become very bad. Has anyone heard the same thing.
JudioStCroix was great. Now they won’t return calls.Guessing it's not the same owners. What’s t best CarRentalCo's in St. Croix?
I have a few random questions. I am heading to St. Croix in Early February. 1. Is there any decent surfing that time of year? 2. I was planning on renting a car, but I thought it might be more fun to rent a scooter or something along those lines. Any suggestions on the car rental situation? 3. I am staying with a friend of mine...but I would much prefer to build some sort of a hut on the beach and build fires at night. Is this something people typically do?
We are traveling soon to the divi carina and have been getting mixed reviews. Are they really that awful? What is there to do close by? We are traveling within a week august 13th...two adults, no children
If you buy a piece of jewelry in St.Thomas and you find out that it's not exactly as what it says in your written appraisal,do you have any recourse against the jewelry store where you bought it?
I 'll be spending only a day in St. Croix and don't want to go to Buck Island but do want to swim and snorkel. I've read about a day pass to the beach at the Sand Castle (supposedly there is decent walk-in snorkeling). Also, apparently there's a snorkel tour that originates there with a40 westend dive trip to a couple of reefs. Anyone know about the Sand Castle day pass or westend diving with St. Croix Ultimate Bluewater Adventures? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
My wife and I wil be visiting the BEAUTIFUL island of ST CROIX in April. I am wondering if anyone has any "SHORE" fishing info that would help me. Such as type of fish, bait, spots to fish. We are staying at The Palms at Pelican Cove near Christiansted and will be renting a car. I already know I donot need a licence as I will be just catching and releasing the fish. Thanks so much for your help, Fishinguy.
Can anyone tell me what Harbor Nights in Frederiksted are like? If there is a Harbor Night, does that mean there is a cruise ship there? We went to St. Croix several years ago. We attended what I think was a Harbor Night, but most of it was cancelled due to rain. There was, though, a terrific youth group playing African type drums with girls dancing in front. I'd like to try to see them again. We'll be in St. Croix from March 12-26. Thanks.
We will be visiting St. Croix in March. Are there any island celebrations for St. Patrick's Day and Easter?
Has anyone been there? Do they have Texas "Hold'em?
Hi, My husband and I would like to take the ferry from S. Croix to St. Thomas but I sometimes get seasick. Has anyone taken this ferry and can tell me if the waters are usually calm or rough?
i'm 23 visiting st. croix for a week this february. i've been looking online at places to stay and everything seems real expensive. i'm not afraid of hole in the wall places. would i be shooting myself in the foot if i waited until i arrived on the island to find a cheap local motel/hotel? do these exist or is everything aimed to tourists and expensive? if you know of cheap places to stay or have any advice please let me know.
We are considering taking a ferry to StX from St. John. Can anyone tell me how to get to Buck Island from St. Croix?
You're on vacation and you'd like to relax. Which of the following would you consider to be a genuine tourist attraction: a. Going to a salon or spa for a massage b. Having a massage therapist come to your hotel room or villa to provide massage in your room, out on the deck, or by the pool c. Getting a massage on a quiet beach under palm trees d. All of the above e. None of the above Thanks for participating!
I am looking for some place very quaint in town. What happened to the Pancake House??? Am I dreaming? Some place with a few rooms with big ceiling fans and walking distance to all the little shops? Has The Island changed sooo much? Thanks for your reply. KatieG
Has anyone done it? Was it good? Would it be an OK idea to use a bicycle for this? Is there a place to rent it? Thanks.
Why does St. Croix seem to be the least visited island? I checked out the tips on things to do and it doesn't sound so bad.
Hello everyone i am interested in visiting the island but have no idea where to stay. what is the best beach in the island where we could stay. hopefully near the city thank you
Thinking of staying here March 2005. Anyone been here or recommend something else?
I'll be in St. Croix (staying at the Hibiscus Hotel) which is 3 miles from Christiansted, for a week in early Jan '05. I'm not sure if this hotel is walkable distance to anything -- restaurants, grocery stores, etc. I'll definitely want to go in once or twice to Chistiansted, and maybe look around the island. I'm wondering whether to rent a car for a few days, or maybe a bicycle, or would a taxi be best?? I love riding a bike, but I'm not an adventure/mountain biker. Being able to ride a bike into the city sounds like fun, but I'm unsure of the terrain, safety, things like that. Has anyone rented a bike to get around while in St. Croix? Is a rental car a good idea? Any advice? (Guess I should tell you that I'm a woman and will be traveling with my 24 year old daughter.)
I'm considering staying at either Colony Cove or Sugar Beach condos for a week in August 2004. I would like feedback from those who have recently stayed at either place, as I have heard both positive and negative comments.
Going to St.Croix this March (2004) and already have reservations at Hotel on the Cay, so hopefully any feedback will be positive. Anybody stay there recently? And this will be our first time in St.Croix, any advice?
Hi, Can anyone help me? I’m searching the address (or email address or fax number) of the gallery of Mr. Mark Austin? I am trying to contact him but I only get a phone number and because I live in Europe calling is very expensive. I believe his gallery is in Queen Cross Street in Christiansted. Thank you!
I'll be in St Croix this weekend, with a full day off on Sunday... I'm bringing my Mountain Bike... Anyone joining me??
Hi, If anyone has stayed at either of these properties I would love to hear from you. So far from what I can find on the web the Hotel on the Cay is on it's own little island with a beach, but there are comments about the rooms not being all that great and it's a time share property. Hotel Caravelle I've found no complaints about the rooms but they don't have a beach. Please respond with any comments good or bad on either property. Thanks, Lori
