we are planning a tour to Srinagar,pahalgam,Gulmarg in Sept end.we are group of 4 families with children aged 10-13 yrs. 1) What would be the weather overall.As its Sept end would it be hot and can we find snow at Gulmarg ? 2) Also which houseboats on Dal Lake would be best for our group?In order of Priority would be Cleanliness,Location and Good Veg/Jain food(in houseboat).

I did Srinagar in November last year. I suggest you please do not stay in a House boat for safety reasons. If there is no power ( which may happen) they don't run the electric heater! Staying in a better hotel with electric quilt and in a safe area is any time a good bargain!
