Hello, i am new to this forum.planning for Kashmir trip in May2012,have made follwing trip plan, Day1 Srinagar arrival Dal Shikara ride overnight to Deluxe houseboat Day2 Srinagar city tour Day3 Srinagar-Gulmarg overnight to Gulmarg hotel Day4 Gulmarg exploration Day5 Gulmarg to Pahalgam, overnight to pahalgam Day6 Pahalgam exploration overnight to srinagar Day7 SrinAGAR- Sonmarg, overnight to sonmarg hotel Day8 sonmarg exploration,overnight to srinagar Day9 Srinagar-Yusmarg, return to Srinagar Day10 Srinagar return journey to jammu But 1. is it wise to go from Gulmarg to Pahalgam,skiping Srinagar 2.plz suggest midrange hotels/houseboat for all destinations. 3.how much a Indica shold cost, for whole trip. plz suggest good travel agency for hiring Indica 4. plz suggset good but less known spots of this area.5. Finally.................how to tackle Motion sickness for long journey of srinagar to jammu. Thanks in advance for reply.
Your itinerary is good.If you want to cut down on a few days you can avoid the overnight stay at Sonmarg.Hotels to suit every budget are available at Srinagar.You can get a complete quote for the same including transport/hotels from a tour operator.You can also try Kargil if you are interested or even Leh if you have the time.
