Hi, I am new to your group. I am seeking for a tour plan to Srinagar & its around location. I am planning to visit in srinagar on en of Mar'12 for 7-8 days. Can somebody help me in making my tour plan, including fare budget hotels & staying in Shikara. Regards, Nitin
Well I have never been to India but found only one entry for Shikara on Tripadvisor: tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review... I also checked bookings.com for Srinagar and found a few places, but not sure how close this is. There was one interesting entry "Peacock House Boats" that sounded like fun. When looking for bookings.com (if the link below does not work) - Google it first, because sometimes when you enter in the browser you're redirected to a similar site. They did not have anything under Shikara, but they had Srinagar. Hope this helps - and hope someone else that has actually been there will answer. Srinagar - 3 Nights can be Houseboat or Hotel or a mix of both Gulmarg - 1 Night at least Pahalgham - 2 Nights Sonmarg can be a day trip from Srinagar.You can increase a day in Srinagr if you want.This is the most general itinerary for Srinagar.Hotels of all categories are available in Srinagar.You will need a car for transportation to Gulmarg / Pahalgham / Sonmarg. according to your group size you can choose the vehicle and get a complete package cost.
