Hello, Men and my girlfriend are planning on going to Sri Lanka in the beginning of June. We plan on spending our time in Trinccomalee. The plan is to fly between Ratmalana and Trinco with Helitours. So I have three questions, 1. How's the weather in that region in the beginning och June? 2. Wich is the easiest way to get from Colombo intl Airport to Ratmalan airport (cost and time). 3. Is there an easier way to fly between colombo to trinco? Best regards, Robert
Hi there, 1. Great, and sunny. Swimmable sea. 2. Taxi, around 2 hours, Rs 4,000-4,500 3. No Don't forget that Helitours refuses to apply for a commercial airline license, hence some travel insurances are very careful for any incident around the flight. E.g. if your camera falls on the apron during boarding for a normal flight they'd pay, but for the Helitours flight they would not. Check and doublecheck and accept the extra risks if you still want.

Hi there,
I agree with you Erik, it is not advisable to fly from Ratmalana to Trinco as they do not have proper travel insurance coverages for tourists. Other hand if you fly you will not get opportunity to explore the island.
