it is ok with the european type 2 rounded pins or should i need a converter.if so can i find it there?
50% chance your hotel/GH rooms will have these outlets; a slightly modified Lankan version (2 round pins fit by fooling the 3rd 'earth' pin). The other 50% chance is for UK-style outlets with 3 square pins. A standard travel converter can handle that, if you're lucky the hotel/GH will have that for lending also... All the best, & [Sandya]

Hello - you might find this a useful site on your travels. It gives information about the type of plugs/sockets in use around the world. If you click on the Blue Letter (D in the case of Sri Lanka) it takes you a bit more information. http://www.kropla.com/electric2.htm Hope this helps a little.
