Split daytrips

by MarkGC Online Now Oct 9, 2005 at 10:27 AM

Am visiting Split shortly and would like to have daytrip visits to Trogdir and an island. How best to get to Trogdir? And which island to visit for daytrip, with what ferry schedules? Thanks

Trogir is one hour from Split by bus. It is a beautiful town and you can see it all in one day. I have been to Hvar Island, but I stayed there four days if I remember well. It is one hour and a half by hydrofoil from Split. Thee are several private rooms there. I stayed in Hvar-town.

Brac Island is great - around an hour by Jadrolina ferry - check out there timetimes on line. Can't paste the link here but they're pretty easy to find.

Trogir is only 25km north of Split, you can see whole historic centre in 2 hours only. There are number of islands nearby Split, all of them very well connected by ferry or speed boats. HvaR is very beautiful and most popular destination, it has nice and interesting medieval structure. I suggest you island of Vis which is very in destination this year. Beautiful nature and very charming fishermens villages you'll find there.
