We'll come to Piraeus in the afternoon (after a very long flight!) Since we'll be tired from jet lag, we thought we could spend a relaxing afternoon, perhaps rest in the hotel by the port, have a meal, etc.
Any suggestions for restaurants nearby, place to take a stroll, etc. in the evening? We leave very early the next morning on a ferry to Santorini, so we thought the night in Pireaus would be best.

hey i was just wondering where would be a nice safe area for 4 young woman in athens in that start of june which would be close to nightlife but not a hostel either thank you ... i also hear u are supposed to stay away from olypmia is that true?? thanks again for any replies
Is it worthwhile to do the tour of Cape Sounion from Athens? Route, Scenery etc.?
We are already doing the 4 day Greek Island cruise and a day tour of Athens. we shall have 1 day free till late afternoon, as our flight departs at 19:05 for Istanbul, from Athens.
Otherwise what should we do?
Hi! Am going to be in Athens in mid-June with my wife & 12 yr old son - wld be arriving there post a trip to Santorini & Mykonos. We would have just 3-4 days in Athens - am planning to go to Delphi for day trip and do the main attractions in Athens on the other days.
Have be told that Plaka would be the best place to stay in Athens on such a short tip so that we don't spend too much time commuting. Is that correct?
Have shortlisted a few Hotels in Plaka - Royal Olympic Hotel, Plaka Hotel & Central Hotel. Also have a few other options in mind: The Athens Gate Hotel, Radisson Blue Park Hotel (Alexandras Avenue), Crown Plaza Athens City Centre (Machalacopoulou Street) & Novotel (Michail Voda Str). Any suggestions on which would be the best options & why? My budget ius approx. Euros200 per night.

I have not returned to Spetsesince 1990 and was considering returning this year. I am sre there will be many changes but I am wondering if the beautiful bar by the sea in the old harbour is still there, it was owned by Kosta and his German wife.
