You need to let people know when you plan to travel. Have you thought of also posting on travbuddy.com? If you fix your dates and itinerary you could also post under " Meetings" here on VT - just say where you plan to be and when and ask if any member there would like to meet up. Use VT mail to arrange the meeting Very best of luck and have a great time!

Welcome to VT.. This site is incredibly helpful and there are active VT members all over the world. You received some good suggestions already, but consider putting more information on your profile, e.g. name, interests, plus some information on your travels and home. There are VT meets all over the world. For example, one in Barcelona in a few days. Karl

Yes! - Do take the advice given by Karl- Let people know as much basic information about you as you are comfortable to post on the web.It would help to make them feel you might become good travelling companions.:)

I'd suggest travelling around Spain by yourself - it's quite an easy country to get around and once You've done a solo trip, you won't look back! Or you could post meets on VT for the places that You're visiting - invite VTers to meet up for a drink or meal- though this works better if You've got some pages/tips etc. Best Wishes for your trip!

Hi. Welcome to Vt. It doesn´t sound really crazy...Spain is used to receive millions of tourists every year, so things are easy. Good public transport and zillions of hotels, hostels(Pensiones in Spanish) acording to any budget Just plan your itinerary, take your money and come. If you don´t speak any spanish....you may try English, specially with young people, but don't spect everybody speaking english....but in hotels, restaurants and tourists sites they do. If you don´t find any travel buddy...you always can make friends while traveling, and share part of the itinerary. Have fun.
