I will be visiting Madrid for 4,5 days next August. I am not planning to spend hours inside museums or palaces. I just want to go for eating and taking beautiful photos of the city. I like to eat TYPICAL local food (including at the tavernes) and enjoy watching Spanish typical dancing (flamengo, salsa, etc.). Could someone tell me what to eat and listen and where? Please, give me the most typical. Thanks.
Have you read some pages about Madird on VT?

Is not Salsa from Cuba? In Madrid Flamenco shows are usually for tourists. Nowhere along the Northern coast do they dance Flamenco, so although Spanish it is not typical for all of Spain. Enjoy Madrid.
