I was wondering if you would happen to know of any nice clubs in Brussels (or near Brussels) where I can go with my significant other where they have good music and good drinks. We want something sophisticated but not too "stiff". We're in our twenties/thirties.
Many thanks in advance for your suggestions!
Next Saturday is our anniversary and we would like to go to a charming restaurant in Brussels (or near Brussels) that is fit for our 1-year anniversary :-)
All suggestions are welcome!
Thank you in advance for helping me make our first anniversary very memorable!
Hello, I'm going to be working in Mechelen for a few months and I decided to find a place in Brussels and take the train everyday to go to work. I have found this place, the European Trainees Residence which is located not too far from the Gare du Nord. I thought it was great, I've seen the pictures and it looks brand new and very comfortable/affordable.
However, I've been going through some reviews about the neighborhood and it doesn't look that great after all.. I have tried to find some reviews of this place but I don't seem to find any.
I've also read that Gare du Nord is an unsafe place to be at any time of the day and night.. This residence is located Rue Traversiere, not too far from Botanique metro station. I've read that the Botanique area is the Turkish ghetto area, to be avoided...
I'd like to know if I should avoid this area and not go to this place.. knowing that I'm a female student...
Thank you in advance!
hello, i intend to visit bruges in january, what is the weather like there ? and what are the best things to do in bruges in 2 days besides taking a trip in the bruges canals? and i want a clean affordable place to stay there for 1 night.. thanks in advance :)
A friend and I will be in Belgium whilst the Grand Prix is on (well we extended our holiday to make sure).
Now, I have no interest what-so-ever in Grand Prix so am looking to do something else.
We can't decide whether to drive there or train, not sure where we'll be coming from, but hope you guys could help advise.
Is it easy to travel to the race track by public transport? My friend has a ticket for Sunday 29th Aug. The official website only mentions travel by car and all the others I can find are only selling tickets or serious F1 info.
And any suggestions on what I can do whilst he's watching the race? I'm thinking visit Liege but am open to suggestions. I like beer, modern art and design, second hand sales, architecture, taking photographs.
Please help...a group of us are trying to find a spa in Europe to send our friend for a long weekend. She is an American living in Switzerland and we wanted to do something special for her 30th birthday. Any advice on good places that are close enough to Switzerland that she won't have to spend too much time getting there, would be greatly appreciated!
