Hi, I was wondering if there was any place in southend on sea where we can do rowing, canoeing, kayaking etc. if so what are the prices and where is it situated? I would be grateful if you could get back to me. Thank you, Amina

My husband and I will be in Southend for 3 days in June with our 11 year old daughter. Can anyone recommend some fun things to do (aside from Adventure Island and the pier) and some places where we might enjoy a good meal? Thanks!

I've been trying to track down a guy in Southend who did a body piercing for me a few years ago. His name is James. He used to work from home, and he lived on the A127/Prince Avenue on the way into Southend. Does anyone know if he is still there, or how to get in touch with him?
A number of years ago... ok, about 15yrs ago... just a few... some friends took me to a restaurant in the Southend-on-Sea area, or Leigh on Sea... that only had one sitting a night. They brought around to the tables a huge terrine of soup, there was a salad "bar", and then the starters, and entrees were all trotted out for you to see the options, as were the desserts. It was incredibly good food, and was about 20 pounds stirling per person. Reservations had to be made long in advance. Does anyone know if this restaurant still exists... the name of which escapes me... or know of any other similar ones in the Greater London area?
