1. Can I use The Wave to get from Brownsville airport to So. Padre? 2. Do I need to rent a car to get around the island?

1. No, it only goes from Pt. Isabel to the Island. 2. Once you are on the Island, not necessarily- a bike is nice- but it is quite long, not very wide, so a car is helpful, depending on what exactly you are doing.

to make your trip has hassle free as possible,its highly recommended to rent a car. Be careful of the speed traps in Port Isabel!!!!!!
