I'm talking spiders and a draft. Electricity optional. One room fine. Outhouse okay. With a view of the lake, up high. Cheap. Any ideas? You search "rustic cabin Lake Tahoe" on Google, all you get are these slick marketing sites with 3-story, ten bedroom "cabins" with a jacuzzi for26,000 a night. Anybody know where to find the real deal?
Here are two places I remember seeing with cabins last time I went to Tahoe... Camp Richardson (camprichardson.com) and Zephyr Cove (zephyrcove.com). Don't know if they're as rustic as you'd like, but they're not fancy. You may also want to try VirtualTahoe.com - it's the site I used the most when I was planning my trip.
