Hi All Planning to trip to Korea and thinking of visiting Yeosu for the Expo.. just wondering if 3days,2 nights would be sufficient for the visit? Would prefer to stay in either motels, hostel or homestay if there are any to recommend? Thanks.
If you are visiting for the Expo, I think 3 days are enough. I stayed in a couple hotels, but they were not really budget type places.

Thanks~ :) I'm just wondering what's there to see in the expo? Coz i would like to explore around Yeosu too.. was thinking maybe 1 day in expo...are there shopping malls around that place? :p

I've never been to that Expo, so I cannot tell you. As for things around the area, consider Choongmin & Suckchun Temples or a ferry ride to some of the islands: "The Quiet Southern Coast" - Yosu by DSwede

Thanks for the info... i'm deciding to go from Seoul to Pohang and then to Yeosu and back to Seoul.. it's possible by rail or i need to take a plane for that?

No need to fly. I know there are direct buses from Seoul to Pohang. From there, I do not believe there is a direct to Yeosu, but maybe there is. If not, you can connect in Busan or Daegu or Masan.

hmmm..but bus might be long... let me find out more about pohang.. it looks like a nice place~

Honestly, if you are not connecting internationally, I find that bus/train is a better domestic option than flying in Korea. The reason is that by the time you get to the airport early for check-in, security, etc. and include the travel time to/from the airport - the travel time will be about the same as a bus/train.

hmmmm... that's true also... are there any websites i can check on buses? i'm more concerned about the portion from pohang to yeosu... Sorry to be asking so much and thanks for your many advises..

I have found a few bus sites, but nothing in English that would help for you. Maybe you can search yourself for bus information. When you do, remember that: -Pohang is in the region of Gyeongsangbuk. -Yeosu is in the region of Jeollanam.
