Hi,I will be in yogja in two weeks time.i would appreciate if any of you can recommend me affordable hotels that fits 3 in a room .as for location wise, in maliboro.
Since it's my first time there, I am still unsure if I should rent a car with driver as we r woman travelers.
My wife and I will be spending a few days in Manado next month and would like to book day tour package for Minahasa, and Tangkoko with a reliable travel agent. Appreciate it if you can share with me some reliable agent in Manado. Thanks.
My friend and I will be traveling to Jepara for 2 days. Does anyone can comment on my itinerary below?
My plan will be:
Friday, midnight by car from Jogja to Jepara (hitchhiking from a friend of mine)
Saturday morning: Pantai Kartini and Pulau Panjang (can we stay 1 night there? Or shall we go back to Jepara?
Sunday morning will be Museum Kartini and Pantai Bandengan (is that a good combination?)
Since we don't have our own car or motorbike, mostly we will take public transport or on foot. That's why we don't include Fort Portugis.
Looking forward to hear any opinion about it.
We know IDR is currently a low value currency, hence good time to visit Lombok. However, doesn't anyone here know some basic info on food cost index...
1) 1 can of Bintang Beer cost how much in IDR?
2) A large pizza?
3) a loaf of bread, 600g, ??
4) 1litre tetrapak juice from the super market?
In order to get some ideas on what to expect in gems of cost?
First many thanks for all the answered questions...sorry I have a few more mixed questions :-
1. How much is the taxi charges from the Airport to Jln Braga ? Are there any minibus for hired from the airport to the city?
2. Appreciate if anyone can provide the addresses to the following restaurant which was highlighted in VT namely Sapu Lidi and Atmosphere Resort Cafe?
We will be in Ubud for 2 days only and are looking for fairly central accommodation. We want to see the Monkey Forest, and stroll around the sites (I don't want to have to hire a car). We'd also like to see some of the rice field (I do understand that without a car we'll be on the beaten track).
We're after a private room, with ensuite. Clean but doesn't have to be fancy, that will allow us to appreciate Ubud by foot. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Can anyone suggest some beautiful place to visit outside of Bandung as a day trip?
We love national park or natural site or historical site?
I will be in Bali this coming dec 28 and spent new year eve there. Anyone could suggest where is the best location to book my accommodation? I will be travelling alone.
I like to go there alone. How do I get to know an Ojek taxi before I get there?
I am wondering how easy it is to get a guide to take us in a boat around the canal system and to floating market. Would it be easy to arrange once in Banjarmasin or is it something that needs to be arranged before arrival. We are planning on being there for 2 days in July and would welcome any recommendations. Thank You.
I have many questions, and would welcome contact with locals from the area. I am still doing my research, but it looks like I must go to Kalimantan! I am a diamond miner. I dig. I do not work for any company, only myself and the miners who chose to be partners with me. I am very good at what I do, but the diamond fields in Arkansas, USA, are used up.
do the miners in Kalimantan still find good stones? Do they get good prices when selling? My buyers in USA pay from4-$20 a point [400-2,000 a carat] They want me to go to Kalimantan and dig the way we do in the USA. It is a very productive way to work.
Are the mineral rights in the ground held by property owners or the Indonesian government? Will the local miners work with an American? I am not rich. I work very hard, and very smart. Is it difficult to get government work permits for an American?
Are there many crocodiles in the rivers? Are there many poisonous snakes? Are the fish good to eat?
I would be interested in hearing from any member who has been to Banjamarsin. Did you use the town as a base for exploring further afield, did you go on day trips? Did you make your own arrangements or did you travel as part of an organised tour? Having read conflicting comments, I am trying to ge a feel for the place, as I would really like to spend some time in Kalimantan.
We are looking for the address of the following company as well as their communication style:
