Hi I will be travelling to the South Islands this coming October. I will be arriving at Christchurch and intend to travel by driving towards Mount Cook, then Queenstown , Haast, Fox Glacier/ Franz Josef, Greymouth and back to Christchurch. As I would like to have a farmstay, appreciate if anyone can advise: 1. Which is a nice area for farmstay that I should spend my 1st day (since I must be pretty tired after the long flight) while making my way to Mount Cook from Christchurch Airport? 2. Is there better areas for farmstay for the route that I intend to take? (In that case, I would then probably not do my farmstay on my 1st day) Any help will be much appreciated.
