mount rushmore national momument Mid winter

Ok thanks for the replies. Well we are planning to go to Mount Rushmore. When you ask Well we plan on goinngt the week before X-Mas. We are driving from California. I was also thinking of checking out the Grand Canyon. Not to mention we will be bringing two small dogs. I will be driving an 04 Tacoma with a shell. We are going to North dakota anyways so I wanted to through in the extra stops. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank Pete H.
