I have been living in Bengkulu for over half a year now and it is about time for me to go back to the States, but before I leave my friend wants to take me on a short trip here in Indonesia. I have been really interested in going to Way Kambas park to try and see some of the animals there but recently I have also been interested in seeing Anak Krakatau. If I was in Lampung province for 4 or 5 days would it be possible to see both?
Does anyone know of someone who could help us get from Way Kambas to Krakatau or just help us with planning a trip in that area? I am very open to suggestions.
I am going to Bali for 2 weeks in September. I am a mature single female travelling along. I'd like to stay in 3 or 4 places while I'm there--I'd like to see some culture and religious temples, but would like to spend 4-5 days at the beach. I'm considering Amed (Eka Purnama cottages), maybe Sideman, Ubud, perhaps Sideman. I am a little concerned about getting around. Could someone let me know whether the places I've chosen work to show Balinese culture, with some beach? And can I get around between them pretty easily. Grateful for any answers--there are just so many possible places to go. Thanks!
has anyone visited the banyak islands? would it be ok to bring kids ?
trekking in ketambe
Can anyone give me info on Way Kambas and/or Krakatau? I want to visit both places later in May. Is it possible to get a ride from Way Kambas to a boat that I could take to Krakatau? Is there any place to stay in or near the Elephant Training Center in Way Kambas? What about Krakatoa?

Are there any remains of the prisoner of war camp at Usapa-Besar?
What is the address of the 2/40th battalion war memorial?
Hi
We are a couple who are going to Yogyakarta to study for a semester, from September to February this year. Do any of you have any recommendations regarding places to live? Price isn't really a big issue, as Indonesia is cheap in comparison to our home country. We were looking at this place tigalima.wordpress.com/room-... (the Room Deluxe), but they were full.
Would be nice if it wasn't too far from UGM :)
Thanks in advance!
i need a cheap, clean comfy room that is quiet for around 150,000 in kuta area, need e-mail to book it as arriving late, thanks
Where would you recommend if I were to do some sort of crash course to learn the bahasa? I've been to Indonesia a couple times, in some instances to less frequented places where I had problems getting through with English only.
I know I'm not good at learning languages from books or on the computer, so can anyone recommend a school whatsoever where I could learn interacting with a small group or class. I can pay something for it if it's not too expensive.
where is restaurant that sell local food that have a big space for a lot of tourist in Bengkulu?and what's kind the food that sell there?
Hi all would anyone be able to advise me as to how to get to Papua/Raja Ampat from Tanjung Puting National Park?
Looking for an overnight trekking in the jungle in Indonesia, to see animals, especially slow loris. Have heard about Ketambe but having trouble finding Johan's contact. Are there other good options? And does anyone have a contact for Johan at Wisma cinta Alam. I will be coming from Bali or Java.
thx,
Does anyone know how I can get in touch with this guesthouse so I can book with them, instead of trying to book with them when I get there: tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review...
Thanks!
I was recently recommend UBUD as a destination to consider for time out to recover my health, and reignite my spirit, emotionally, physically and artistically. I am single, a photographer / graphic designer and seek a safe place to call home for 2 mths.
On my wish list is the following:
Advise given to me was to find a nice place to stay and then go and visit a place called the Yoga Barn as from there I could find many opportunities for health / healing networking and so forth etc.
Does anyone have any tips for art workshops of any kind? A central place like the Yoga Barn maybe and a website perhaps etc.
Are their any forums one can use to network - maybe to find other people in Ubud where one can share interests - ie photography, or just hook up for coffee etc.
I am planning to go Sept / October
I am not a beach or bar person. More inclined to seek peaceful environs....
Many thanks in anticipation.
P.S. I am in my 40's so I would like some comforts but it doesn't have to be extravagant. Gone are the days of backpacking :)
trekking in ketambe sumatra with a 5 and 8 year old is it possible
Hi all,
I will be in Bali 5~9 may for a short holiday.
Need a bike to move around....any suggestion vter
We are a family of four (two older teens) who are interested in going to Sumatra. We have about 16 days (including travel to/from Australia) and were considering flying in Medan, seeing orangutans in Bukit Lawang and possibly trekking a bit there (son is very fit; us not as much!) or possibly saving trekking to do so with elephants in Tangkahan, which sounds amazing. We also want to fit in Lake Toba and a 5+ day beach holiday at the end. We are wondering for the beach part if we should then go up to Banda Ache and on to Pulau Weh (is there snorkelling there as well as diving and is there anything for the kids to do if they get sick of relaxing?) or fly to Padang at go to cubadak paradisovillage where there seems to be diving and snorkelling. As I write all this, I think it sounds ambitious for two weeks, so would like advice about what the best options are. We've been diving/snorkelling in Bunaken, Komodo/Flores and Barrier Reef so wonder how marine life around Sumatra compares. Also visited orangutans in Kalimantan via river boat. We are hoping that Sumatra will be different to those trips to add to our love of Indonesia and our view of how diverse the country is. Thank you for any advice you can provide!
Will I pay less for air tickets on-line in USA, that is, "onetravel.com" or waiting and going to travel agents in Asia; say Singapore, Saigon, Kuala Lumpur and/or Jakarta
hi all..my friends and I will go to bali this coming 8-10 oct. gonna need your help to suggest any budget place to stay and have fun for limited time...thanks :)
Hi, I am a single mature female travelling to Bali for 2 weeks. I'd like to see cultural sites and religious temples, and to spend 4-5 days at the beach. I am considering Amed (Eka Purnama), Ubud, Munduk, and maybe Sideman. I'm a little concerned about how I will get around between these different places. I'd like to stay at 3 or 4 places max so I am not running around the whole time. Any suggestions would be welcome! I'm also interested in renting a car for the day and touring--any suggestions about that would be great. Thanks!

I will be landing in Denpasar a day ahead of the rest of my travelling mates, and then we're headed off to Seminyak. I will be landing in the evening of May 21, 2013, and meeting the rest of my mates the next day in the early evening.
I would like to spend a day exploring Denpasar on my own, but unsure of where to stay at for the evening. A hotel I have seen with a great rate is Cityzen Renon. Anyone have any opinions about this hotel? It seems to be well rated.
Also, any suggestions on "must-sees" in Denpasar?
Thanks in advance!

Hello, I' m going to Sorong for dive-safari. And for my international flights and dates of safari fits only flights by Express airline company. Has anyone flown with this company? How I can get in touch with them (ask, because they do not have an online-booking system or even e-mail address on their site)??? If you know any other good airline company, which flies from Manado to Sorong, please, tell about them. Thanks in advance! =)) Lyolya

Is it possible to rent a boat to explore Raja Ampat islands independly and if so what would it cost? Thanks for any help
Has anyone been to Sorong and stayed there in a hotel or guesthouse. it needs to have western toilets and hot/cold shower. If the hotel also has a restaurant that would be cool, but is not necessary. I'd love to hear from you. Greetings from Cairns,Australia
