Could anyone tell me about the bus services from & to Sofia / Koprivshtitsa.
1. I want to buy the ticket "Monthly personalized card for all lines of the public transportation" recommended in http://metrosofia.com/en/tickets, please help me to call 070013233 on www.sofiatraffic.bg, to ask how to buy this card and the condition of this card, do I just use my passport to buy this card ?
2. Please recommend some LOCAL Websites for Sofia (Room and Flat) Renting ( .bg etc but not those .com that try to rip off the foreigners ), plus even some local newspaper names that are popular for local renting advertisings, are also helpful.
I will be staying in Sofia for about 3 months and I wonder what the best solution might be for such a length of stay, as I doubt that there are leases for that short a period of time.
I've read bad stories for money changing. The preference seems to be banks over exchange offices. I need to change money both at the airport and in downtown. Do you recommend any specific exchange offices or should I stick with the banks?
I woud like to know at what time does the bus from Sofia to Bucharest departs and also what is the name of the station.
Tired of outdated information. Online guides are useless. Most postings have no date and are outdated, inaccurate or no longer useful. The question is: Where does a middle aged man can go out at night in Sofia? Folk, rock & roll, disco, lounge, retro music its all the same for me so music type its not an issued for me. Just looking for people my age (or as close as possible to my age bracket) hang out places.
Thank you all
Im travelling to Sofia with my own car . After that I will travel to Varna by train . Is there any guarded parking near the Sofia central train station that I can use ?
Hi, I have plannned to travel to Skopje in July 2013. I checked the connections from the web page of the Sofia bus station and there seems to be only one daily bus (at 00 hr) to Skopje. As I checked earlier this year, there were several. Are the now just fewer connecstions or does the web page just not show them all? Any ideas? Anyway, how crowded might those available lines to Skopje be during the summer time? Could there be diffilculties in getting a place in the busses if asking tickes the day before?
I'll be working a couple of days a week near Theater Sofia/Zaimov Park
Any recommendations for places to eat within walking distance?
Nice Steaks/ribs or fish options....
We will travel from Nairobi to Arusha with the bus that starts at 14:00 o'clock, and will arrive around 18:30 - 19:00. Because our hotel is in Moshi, is there any possible way to go to Moshi the same day? Daladalas, taxi or something else?
Thank you in advance.
Is there autobus from Sofiya central bus station, direct to Vlado Trichkov (Balkan Range, Romcha) ?
i've been searching the internet for some wellness, spa center in Sofia or Plovdiv in Bulgaria that issues gift certificates which can be bought online.
The thing is, I have a friend there who I'd like to buy a gift certificate for massage treatment or some spa program for her birthday, but there has to be an option paying over internet, or from foreign account or whatever.

I am travelling through Sofia in October and I was wondering if it is a hassle to book an overnight train ride (in a sleeping wagon) from Sofia to Bucharest in Sofia itself. I'm from Germany and I went to the Deutsche Bahn counter and asked if I could book it from here, but it's not possible. They couldn't even give me a website I could book it from. So I was wondering if I go to a counter in Sofia, will communicating this be a difficulty?
I have an interrail ticket, which means I won't have to book the train ride, just the sleeping wagon. Has anyone done this before? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Please can you tell me where is the llientzi market in sofia? AND WHEN DOES IT OPEN PLEASE? DAYS AND TIME. THANKS SO MUCH.

Am planning a multi country tour over the span of 1 month, culminating in Turkey.
Am looking for affordable ideas for onward travel between Sofia and Istanbul.
Trains and buses seem very long and I don't want to spend a day of travel between the two and airfares seem outrageous.
Thanks in advance,
Homer (and Ed)
I am moving to Sofia in less than 10 days. I am looking for a reliable, trustworthy, safe and, of course VERY AFFORDABLE driver, taxi etc. for local rides, pick up etc. We are talking no less than an average of two runs per day plus one/two more on weekends (nights?) Not looking for luxurious means of transportation and, needless to say, not picky on car make as long as its safe. Any contacts? Any suggestions?. Thank you all.
what is the best place (better rate) for exchanging money in Sofia? is the difference at the airport a rip off so to do only a few euros and then the rest in the city center?
is there any suggestions for day trips from Sofia during winter period?
we wont have a car so it must be easy to do it by bus or train.
what we're looking for is to visit a small town in the morning, walk around for 1-2 hours, probably see a monument, have lunch and return back to Sofia.
Hi, I'm travelling to Sofia next week and looking for accomadation. Where is the best place to stay in Sofia. We want to be near all the nightlife and bars? Also, are they any Bars that play Rnb music?
My friends and I are travelling to Sofia this year, and I was just wondering if anybody knows what the general dress code is for a night out? Are there strict "no shorts or trainers" policies or can you wear what you want as long as you look smart enough? Only we're doing quite a lot of travelling and want to limit how much excess clothing I take.
If anybody could help I would be most appreciative.
I am planning to travel by sleeper to Istanbul from Sofia on 27 May. I know I have to buy the tickets for this on the station at Sofia. Can anyone help with advice on how to go about doing this. Where to get the tickets? The cost? What currencies are accepted? Language difficulties? I don't speak Bulgarian!
Will be in Sofia May 19-23, 2011. Where can I find on the internet what operas or ballets are scheduled for those dates? Also, what restaurants are good in the area near the Crystal Palace Hotel? Not necessarily expensive-just good local food. Thank you for any suggestions.

We will be in Sofia in mid-May for a conference, and are looking for suggestions for hearing good quality, live traditional Bulgarian music (dance as well would be a plus).
We've bumped into wonderful music in other countries in local bars and clubs, parks and the odd wandering musician (Istanbul especially!), but Sofia will be new to us.
We won't have time to go very much outside of Sofia, unfortunately, so insider knowledge is appreciated!
Please refer some secondhand goods buy & sell and accommodation renting websites in Bulgaria ? Or what is the keyword in Bulgarian to search Google ? thanks.
