HI does anyone know how long it takes on a train from sofia to bourgas? Do they run all year round? Idea on the price single or return
Hi! Bourgas is a pretty major city and so the trains run year round. The Bulgarian railways site is www.bdz.bg and there is an english button a the top. The site is really easy to use and has all the info you'll need. BTW on the site it is Burgas (without the o). Timings vary according to the particaular train as do fares. There are 2 express trains daily with a journey time of about 7 and a half hours, the fare is 21.50 BGN one way. The fast trains, of which there are 5 daily) don't take that much longer and cost from 17.20. Most trains are direct but a couple of them require changes at Karnobat.
