Is it better to carry USD cash or Traveler's Checks for payment in Socotra?
There are 1 or 2 banks in the capital of socotra that change US cash for sure. We were there last week and for car hire, accomodation and food we paid in rial. If you need any more info in Socotra let me know. Masha

USD, and bear in mind that you'll probably get a better rate on large ($50 & over) bills.
