In blunt terms is the Titanic Experience worth it - I know that this is a subjective question and is there parking nearby. How long should I allow for the visit. What exactly is involved with the boat trip. The website leaves a lot to be desired. So often these historical attractions are not worth their money - being on a tight budget would the money be better spent on a pub meal?
Flying into Belfast, will stay at Holiday Inn Express on University Street, were told to take bus 300 from airport to go to Europa Hotel Bus Station, is that going to be walking distance to Holiday Inn? Can't afford what I fear may be expensive taxi rides?Also is it about 10£ for return ticket (to and from) ? also where would I go to catch train to Dublin, from same hotel? Is that also walking distance? Thanks very much for any assistance. We are used to walking, though middle aged, just have to keep in mind we have two suitcases to tag from airport with us. :)
We are planning to travel free and easy on a 14-day trip to United Kingdom. After reading the many suggestions from travellers to the questions posed in this forum, I have in mind to travel to London in the first instance and from there, take a train up North. Our interests are:
(a) beautiful autumn sceneries, possibly in a village;
(b) landmarks and famous places in London and UK;
© experience falling snow, however, brief;
With these things in mind, we are thinking of making Edinburgh as our Northern base. After we complete North UK, hopefully experience falling snow, we will travel back to London.
However, I am at a loss as to how many days we should remain in each city or town. Or the places we should not miss. Can you help to give us some tips on a draft itinerary? And whether or not it is good to rent a car or travel on public transport? Thank you.
I'm going traveling in a few weeks and my parents want to drop me off and come into the terminal to make sure i'm checked in all right. I was just wondering about parking.
I've read about the multi storey and that being the best option, but how & where do you go about paying? especially as they'll only be parked for 30mins - 1hour.
Complete novice to this sort of thing. I'm normally just dropped off and that's that. So any help will be more than appreciated
I'm coming to the uk mid July staying 5 weeks with my daughter and we need a car. What is the cheapest long term car hire company you know of? Or any creative solutions other than public transport ??? We will be moving to and fro eg Brighton/Henfield Brighton/steyning ...Kent...Hampshire...Dorset ... Last quote was dearer than buying a banger!
Hi, what can I do for a day trip in Saddleworth? I be coming down from Manchester and thought of taking the northern rail and drop at Greenfield station. I did some research and upper mill looks lovely. Any idea how/where I can take the canal ride? Any nearby farm/icecream farm to visit ? Would prefer walking to all these places as easier for me to go back manchester end of the day.
I have a plan to visit isle of wight over a weekend. can you please let me know the places to visit and how is the public transport there. I plan to do the entire travel by public transport everywhere. I am interested to visit the Godshill - miniatures of monuments and the needles. Need to do a research yet on the other places. Hi, we are visiting the area in the next couple of weeks and would like to visit Lundy for the day. What is the best boat / ferry service to use from Lynton down to Clovelley Area?
I am visiting belfast during may. I am planning to take giant's causeway tour for one day and other day just going around belfast with the hop on hop off city tour.
Please let me know if this is the right plan or any other suggestions welcome.
I will stay 1 day in London (whole day) and I read about Oyster crd for 1.2 zones etc. - London visit states that a 1 day travel pass for zones 1-6 at 12.00 Pound which seems to be a good deal even I will travel only in zunes1.2. But: visitlondon offers a 1 day Card for 6 €uros and states that it can be only ordered fromoutside UK. Can anybody tell me if this is true ?
For older, collectable, antique & unusual items. We have looked at streetsensation.co.uk/market... and it seems that Camden Passage, Spitalfields, Bermondsey Market, Piccadilly Market & Gray's Antique Market might be possibilities. Looking for all comments and sometimes Car Boot sales can even be better, is there a good web site that lists Car Boot sales? Hopefully something NOT as busy as Portobello Rd. is on a Saturday. Thank you all.
I am from Mumbai and visiting London in May. I am planning a trip to Isle of sky from 23-25th May (leave 22nd night and reach back London by 25th evening), so can someone suggest how i should travel to isle of sky and what i can do in the limited time? (Budget constrains, so please advise a trip where expenditure would be moderate)

I want to meet my mom at heathrow airport. My mom will be flying in from tel aviv, Israel and i will be flying from the US (making sure my flight gets in before hers) and i plan to make my way to her terminal to meet her. My question is where should i plan to meet her? Where should i tell her i will be ? she is elderly and will have wheel chair assistance but the airport is big and i don't want to miss her, so where is a good meeting up place at the airport?
