How do I travel from Malpensa airport to Sirmione - flight due to arrive about 1730? How to travel from Sirmione to Venice?
First you take the bus or train from Malpensa airport to Milan Centrale station, then change to a train to Desenzano del Garda. Train times, details and fares in English here: trenitalia.com/homepage_en.h... I prefer train as there is no risk of getting caught in traffic congestion. Total journey time is from 2h 15 min. One-way fare from 15.50 euro. From Desenzano you can take a bus to Sirmione. You will be too late to catch the last bus at 1911 but may be able to catch the 2100 (although I do not know how far from your hotel this will drop you). Bus timetable here: trasportibrescia.it/upload/o... It may be better to take a taxi from Desenzano to Sirmione when you arrive at Desenzano station. It's only around 9km so should not be too expensive...and, imo, is better than hanging around waiting for a bus.
