Easter in Siracusa

We're a couple with a 2 year old girl and we're planning on spending Easter in Sicily, and we were thinking that perhaps Siracusa is a good choice to spend the week? Or perhaps there are better ways to experience this special holiday season on the island? We're also looking for a suitable holiday rental apartment/villa. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
