We are coming to Siofok in july. Couple questions: Firstly, can anybody confirm me, that there really is a straight train connection from Ferigehy airport to Siofok (and it takes approximately 3 hrs)? Secondly, I have heard, that Siofok is one of the "party-place" in Balaton lake. That´s why I ask, how noisy place is in general and is it possible to find reasonable quiet hotel / or other accomodation in this area, tips? Thanks in advance!
Looks like when taking a train you'll have to change it at least once. elvira.mav-start.hu/elvira.d... From Budapest to Siofok, yes, there are several direct trains. Check at www.elvira.hu Siofok is lively place, though you might have a chance to find a quite place, probably outside of the centre of city life. But I've been there only for 1 day, so accommondation was not needed
