I am British passport holder who will arrive in Singapore via India. I am not sure whether I will need a yellow fever vaccine certificate (I know this would not be necessary if I was travelling directly from UK but thought I read something about it being requried if one was travelling from India but I am not sure) - does anyone have any experience/knowledge they can share?
Thank you. Sam

I am currently in Philippines now for a three week vacation and I want to visit Singapore for at least 2 days before going back to Bangladesh. My last visit in SG was December 2010 (I was there for 10 days) and visited Sentosa, Giant Wheel/Flyer, Marina Bay and some fashion shops around. I’m looking forward to see new things this time. Is there anything new that I must see in Singapore this year? So I can go straight there as I have limited time. Thanks!
We will be arriving in Singapore in mid January and I have booked the airport transit hotel, where I know you stay on the inside, before customs/immigrations, and your bags go to baggage claim on the outside. Has anyone personally stayed in the transit hotel and then retrieved their bags the next morning? Were you pleased? We arrive at 1 am and this just seems like a simgle, inexpensive way to finish up the night.

I would like to stay in a safe area which is within walking distance of some of the main attractions and shopping districts but not one that has lots of bars/discos or clubs as I don't want to be in an area that is too noisy at night. I have budget of up to 130 gbp or 260 SGD per night for a hotel. Thank you. Sam

Are Oriental Carpets less expense to purchase in Singapore than the US and which dealers are the most reputable?
I gather from Seat 61 website that the price of a train ticket bought in Singapore for travel to Malaysia is twice that you would pay for the same journey in ringitts if bought in Malaysia. Am I right? This is what it says: * If your ticket is bought or collected in Singapore, read the paragraph below. For historical reasons, tickets starting in Singapore are charged in S$, for example RM34 (£7) becomes S$34 (£17), so it's cheaper to buy an online ticket starting from JB Sentral, charged in Ringgits, then buy a separate ticket from Woodlands to JB Sentral ticket at Woodlands station just before departure.*

What is the latest have noticed a few thunderstorms are due over the next few days (i have never wanted rain so much in all my life)
how long does this normally last for? Any tips if the haze is still around by mid july?
Sorry this is a bit disjointed no sleep and stress of wedding planning and honeymoon is causing me to loose my mind a bit.

I'm going to Singapore in the middle August for a few days and I'm really looking forward to it!
The last few days we've heard about the smog from Indonesia in the media here in Denmark, and they say it could be there for weeks. I know you can't really predict anything about things like this. Bur for my stay in Singapore I had planed to stay two days at the Marina Bay Sands just to relax by the pool, seeing that this is outdoors i would hate to book such an expensive hotel, just for that one purpose to see and enjoy the infinitypool, if the air is still full of smog by then. I haven't booked my room yet, and am now hesitant in doing so because it seems like the hotel doesn't have a no-refund/no-cancellation policy, I don't know if I have misunderstood something?
Can anyone give any advice weather i should just book my room and hope that the air is clean by then or shouldn't i?
My stay in singapore is on my way home from Australia, and i had planned to go to the Haw Paw house, raffels hotel, general sightseeing of the city and visit one of the national parks, but these activities are mostly outdoors, so the smog worries me a bit.
Does any of you have any experience with this? Any answers would be kindly appreciated!
